Sept. 15, 2002,IRICO Group Corporation was listed No. 138 among 500 top enterprises in terms of business revenue in the Second News Briefings of the Chinese Enterprise Groups held in Beijing.
In 2002
1. In Jul.16, IRICO’s 40cm pure flat tube passed the design finalization. In Dec.15, the 54cm pure flat tube production line was getting through, which filled up the gap of small and medium size PF tube production for IRICO. This symbolized that IRICO has the ability of developing PF CPT independently.
2. At the time of 20 years anniversary celebration, IRICO has accumulatively sold 80,000,000 pieces of CPT.
3. In October 25, IRICO celebrated its 20 years of birthday. 4. In Nov. 25, a delegation with 11 members led by Yu Shumin, President of Hisense Group Corporation paid a two-day visit to IRICO for a mutual discussion on the management experiences.
5. In 2002, IRICO realized a total industrial output value of 12.3 billion RMB yuan, with an increase rate by 30% compared with the previous year. It earned a foreign exchange of US$ 130 million, with an increase rate by 26% compared with the previous year. This is the best benefit level achieved in recent years.
6. By Dec. 25, 2002, IRICO has totally applied 88 patents, with a 456% increase compared with the previous year. The accredited patents are 14, a 100% increase compared with the previous year. This has created the highest record for the internal application and declarations, the state acceptance and accredit in IRICO’s history, ranked top among the enterprises in Shaanxi Province, won the National Model Enterprise for Patent Work and Shaanxi Provincial Advanced Unit for Patent Work.

In Feb.13, Chen Deming, member of the Standing Committee of Shaanxi Provincial CPC Committee and Administrative Vice Provincial Governor, came to IRICO Group for work inspection, being accompanied by Song Hongwu, Secretary of Xianyang Municipal CPC Committee and Zhang Liyong, Governor of Xianyang Municipal Government.
2. In Feb.24, the second workers’ congress of the first plenary session and the summary and mobilization meeting of IRICO Group was held.
3. In Mar.17, China Certification Center Inc. awarded a “Certificate for Occupational Health and Safety Management System Certification” to IRICO.

In 2004
1. In Jan.15, the opening and foundation-laying ceremony for the expansion project of IRICO’s extra large high definition CPT production line was made. The leaders from IRICO Group Corp., Xianyang Municipal Government and the chief representatives of the foreign projects attended the ceremony.
2. In Jan.31, the contract for the project construction of glass panel in IRICO Glass Factory No.3 was signed. The signing of the contract symbolized the starting of the civil construction of the glass panel project. (This project covers a total land of 50,000 square meters. The tank pull will be over 200 tons/day and two new panel lines will be built with an annual output of over 4 million pieces.)
3. In Feb.20, the third workers’ congress of the first plenary session as well as the summary and mobilization meeting of IRICO Group was held.
4. IRICO Group Corporation was awarded the “2003 National Advanced Unit for Implementing the Customer Satisfying Project.”
5. In Apr.5, the Shaanxi Xi’an Export Processing Zone started its operation. The opening ceremony with ribbon-cutting for the production starting of IRICO Group Xi’an Cairui Company was held in Xi’an Economic & Technology Development & Export Processing Zone. Yuan Chunqing, Vice Provincial Party Secretary and Xi’an Municipal CPC Party Secretary, Sun Qingyun, Mayor of Xi’an Municipality as well as the leaders from Xi’an Customhouse, provincial and municipal governments attended the ceremony. IRICO’s Display Technology Project entered into the export processing zone, which could reduce IRICO’s CPT exporting cost and enhance its competitive strength.
6. In Apr.15, Li Sanyuan, the Administrative Vice Governor of Xianyang Municipal Government, came to IRICO for work inspection on the work of technology improvement and project expansion.
7. In Apr.26, a delegation led by Li Qinglin from the Office Bureau of SASAC made investigation on the enterprise stabilization and secrecy work.
8. In May 13, a delegation led by Wang Zhongming from the Research Center of SASAC made investigation on the work of enterprise system reform.
9. In May 14, IRICO’s 54cmFS normal neck CPT passed the appraisal of design finalization for production.

11. The H line project in IRICO CPT Factory One was running through on the whole line. The product test run was successfully made by one time. 10 pieces of 54cm FS good product was smoothly made on the line.
12. IRICO Group Corp. won the top honor for quality management in the electronics and information industry.
13. In Jun.30, the general scheme of system reform for separating the main and subsidiary businesses by IRICO Group was approved by SASAC. Three companies, such as China National Electronic Devices Corp., Shenzhen IRICO Electronics Co., Ltd and Shaanxi IRICO Construction Engineering Company were chosen as the first pilot units.
14. In Jul.19, the No.10 panel tank was successfully lit up after 74 days of cold repair. After the cold repair, the melting area in the working tank of this panel tank was enlarged to 150 square meters from the previous 130 square meters.
15. In August 7, a delegation led by Huang Ju, a member of the Standing Committee of the Central CPC Political Bureau and Vice Premier of the State Council, accompanied by Li Jianguo, Secretary of the Provincial CPC Committee and Jia Zhibeng, the Provincial Governor, came to IRICO for work inspection.
16. In Aug.18, a delegation led by Xie Zhongyu, Chairman of the Supervision Committee resided in IRICO dispatched by the State Council, came to IRICO for spot supervision.

18. By August, IRICO Group Corp. has accumulatively produced 101.8 million pieces of CPT. It becomes the first company breaking the pass to accumulatively produce 100 million pieces of tubes in the CPC industry in China.
19. In Sep.10, IRICO Group Corporation’s ERP project has formally started. The Finance Department and the Human Resources Department signed the management system contract with Kingdee International Software Group Co., Ltd.
20. In Sep.18, the National Statistical Bureau held an information release meeting on the forth China’s large enterprise groups. There were all together 2629 various large enterprise groups announced. They are from the Central Government controlled conglomerates, the State pilot conglomerates, China Electronics Corporation controlled conglomerates, the province and ministry approved conglomerates as well as those with over 500 million RMB yuan for annual operation revenue and the total capital assets by the year end in 2003. IRICO Group Corp. ranked No.196 with its annual operation revenue of 7.8 billion RMB yuan.
21. In Sep.27, IRICO Group held a ceremony for top covering of the No.50 panel tank in IRICO Glass Factory Three.
22. In Sep.27, the Shadow Mask Factory’s MB line put into production after the construction completed, which was the key project for technology improvement for the Group Company in 2004. The construction of this line lasted for 10 months and the completion of it would increase the internal mask supply ability to 70%.
23. In Oct.13, the Group Company held a meeting for mobilization of creating a resource-saving enterprise and for promotion of management innovation.
24. In Oct.19, a delegation led by Li Tongxin, Vice Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Committee under the SASAC, came to IRICO for investigation and discipline inspection work.
25. In Oct.13, the installation of the first set of equipment for IRICO’s super large
screen high definition CPT production line ( K line) started.
26. “The production technology R&D for the project of 74cm high definition CPT used for digital TV” undertaken by IRICO Display Devices Co., Ltd. passed the acceptance of the Ministry of Information Industry in Oct.19. The various properties have reached the design requirement and passed the certifications of 3C, UL and CSA.
27. In Oct.25, the Group Company held a joint meeting for the work of main and subsidiary businesses separation, and subsidiary business reform.
28. In Oct.27, the representatives of the third high level forum meeting for Sino –Japan Electronic Information Sustainable Development and Environmental Protection visited IRICO.
29. The output of H Line in IRICO CPT Factory One reached the production design capacity in October. It took 8 months from the project construction starting for H Line to design capacity realization, which created a new record in IRICO’s history for CPT assembly line importation. By the end of Oct.31, it totally produced 168,309 pieces of 54cmPF tubes in the month, which reached the annual design capacity of 2,000,000 pieces.
30. The Group Company passed 2004 auditing for OHSAS.
31. In Nov. 15, IRICO Glass Factory Three held a ceremony for No.50 panel tank-lighting. The design for this project was to produce various panel products from 40cm to 64cm with the maximum annual output of 4,250,000 pieces.
32. In Dec.6, the debugging for the first machine in K line completed.
33. In Dec.20, IRICO Group Electronics Company Limited was successfully listed in Hong Kong Stock Exchange. The total shares issued were 485,294 million shares with the share-raising price of 1.58 HKD/share. The total capital raised was 766 million HK dollars.
In 2005
1. In Jan.20, the General Manager of IRICO Group Corp., Ma Jinquan organized and held a symposium on the group ideology & political work and culture construction.
2. In Jan.25, IRICO Group Corp., IRICO Group Electronics Company Limited openly recruited 18 section and department managers within the whole group company. This is an important move for the group company’s cadre selection system reform.
3. In Jan. 28, IRICO Group Corp. won the most energetic Top-50-Enterprise at the awarding ceremony of the general appraisal of Shaanxi Provincial Economic Promotion.
4. In Apr.6, the group company issued a notice to carry out a saving and potential -developing movement in the whole group company in 2005 and realize an objective of 400 million yuan through this movement.
5. In Feb.28, the Group Company held its fourth staff and worker’s congress of the first plenary session and the meeting of yearly summary and mobilization. Xie Zhongyu, Chairman of the Supervision Committee, Xia Ceming, Department Director and Chen Gao, Special Supervisor as well as the leaders of the group company, the leaders of the affiliated units and the staff representatives, all together over 1000 people, attended the meeting.
6. In Mar.11, IRICO Group won the Prize for Top 100 of the First China Electronic Enterprise Quality.
7. In Mar.22, IRICO Group Corp. issued a pamphlet of “IRICO Health Culture”.
8. By Apr.1, the pilot line for PDP Display Panel independently designed and built by IRICO Group Corp. passed the acceptance of expert group under the Ministry of Information Industry. The 42 inch PDP display panel independently developed by IRICO was successfully made on the pilot line. The research and development of PDP TV set also acquired a success. The picture quality of the 42 inch PDP TV, with the independent intellectual property, was good. It reached the property of the similar products made in the foreign countries and was at the leading level in the country.
9. In Apr.18, the first 86cmPF high definition tube was made on the production line of K Line.
10. In May 23, IRICO held its first Culture and Art Week, which involved 4 special performances and calligraphy with hard pen, reciting art contest, plaza dancing as well as the local drama — “Qinqiang”.
11. In Jun.10, the joint news-gathering and reporting delegation for the national “Protecting the Intellectual Property —— We Are Acting” visited IRICO.

In 2006
1. In 2005, IRICO Group Corporation’s total CPT export and foreign exchange earning increased by a great deal. The total number of CPT export was approximately 6 million pieces in the year, increasing 100% compared with the previous year. It was the first time for IRICO to break the big pass of 100 million USD of foreign exchange earning and obtained 140 million USD, increasing 60% compared with the previous year.
2. IRICO Group Corp. was honored to win the prize of “Top 100 for China Enterprise Information in 2005”.
3. IRICO Group Corp. was honored to win the title of Shaanxi Notable State-owned Enterprise in the 15th five-year plan period.
4. In May 24, a 8-people delegation of special topic investigation group of the Party ideology construction work organized by the SASAC, led by the SASAC’s Vice Director Wang Ruixiang, came to IRICO for work investigation.
5. In Jun.1, Shaanxi Provincial Governor Wu Dengchang and his delegation, accompanied by Qian Junchang, Mayor of Xianyang Municipality, came to IRICO for work inspection.
6. In Jun.19, the export immunity expert group from the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People’s Republic of China came to IRICO to hold the first meeting for auditing of 64cm PF CPT export inspection exemption. At the summary meeting for the auditing held in Jun.21, the auditing group announced that IRICO Brand 64cmPF CPT passed the site auditing of export inspection exemption of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People’s Republic of China.
7. In Jun.22, a delegation led by Huang Shuhe, Vice Director of SASAC under the State Council, came to IRICO for work inspection.
8. The business operation of the Group Company continuously improved in the first half of the year. The quantity of CPT exported created a best record compared with the previous period. The sales volume was increased by 44.4% and the export volume was increased by 23.62%, compared with the previous periods.
9. In Jul.19 AM, the Group Company held a science and technology meeting, at which IRICO’s technology innovation development plan, pushing measures and increasing technology innovation ability were studied and established. This is a very important meeting held at the time of IRICO’s business transition.
10. In Aug.2, IRICO Group Corp. and Qindou District People’s Government signed a contract for the “Project of LCD Glass Substrate”. The signing of the contract symbolized that one of IRICO’s three big businesses in the future has started and IRICO has made another stable step in the business innovation.
11. In Aug.10, a delegation led by Li Xuemei, Director of Shaanxi Provincial Commerce Bureau, accompanied by Zhang Liyong, Party Secretary of Xianyang Minicipal CPC Committee and the related leaders from the Xianyang Minicipal Commerce Bureau, came to IRICO to hold a site business meeting. The major purpose of this meeting is to solve the actual problems existed in the enterprise’s foreign trade business.
12. IRICO Labor Service Company successfully developed 54cm improved inner shield. This product has successively passed the five-step tests for 54cm PF CPT in IRICO CPT Factory One and 54cm FS CPT in IRICO Display Devices CO., Ltd. and has started to make formal supplies.
13. By Sep.7, IRICO Group Corp. realized CPT sales volume by 10 million pieces, increasing by 20.9% compared with the previous period.
14. In the morning of Oct.10, Xianyang IRICO Nursery Education Development Co., Ltd held a ceremony for the company-establishing and name plate-unveiling. Tao Kui, Party Secretary of the Group Company’s CPC Committee, Li Qiang, Vice Director of Xianyang Education Bureau unveiled the company’s name plate. It is the first nursery education company limited with independent legal person in the successful system reform made by State-owned enterprise in Shaanxi Province.
15. At the 2006 China Enterprise IT Application Forum, IRICO Group Corp. was honored to win the prize of “Top100 Enterprise of 2006 China Information”.
16. In Oct.12, IRICO Group Corporation’s Technology Center won the national ratified qualification of enterprise technology center approved by the five authorities of the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Finance, the General Administration of Customs and the State Administration of Taxation at the Eighth China High Tech Achievement Fairs held in Shenzhen, and also accepted the name plate at the fairs.
17. In Nov.3, IRICO Group Corp. and Xianyang Qindou District held a handover ceremony for IRICO School.
18. In Nov.16, the name plate unveiling ceremony for the State Ratified Enterprise Technology Center of IRICO Group Corporation was held in IRICO Mansion in Shangdi, Beijing. IRICO Group Technology Center was formally established with the name plate hanged.
19. In Dec.1 to 2, China Quality Association and the National Customers Committee held a 2006 national customers working meeting in Wenzhou, Zhejiang. IRICO Group Corp., as an enterprise passed the re-assessment for expiry of 2004 national customer satisfactory enterprise, was praised at the meeting.
20. In Dec.18, the Appraising Expert Group for Enterprises and Institutions Intellectual Property Model Establishing organized by the State Intellectual Property Bureau visited IRICO for work inspection and investigation.
21. In Dec.28, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the P.R.C. issued a certificate free of inspection for 64cm “IRICO Brand” CPT exporting to IRICO Group. This is a zero breakthrough for the qualification of “export free inspection” in the CPT industry in the country.
In 2007
1. In Jan.16, the first domestic LCD glass substrate production line invested and built by IRICO Group Corp. was started to build in the Industry Conglomeration Garden in Yuquan West Road, Qindou District, Xianyang City. The building of this line will break the situation for this product monopolized by the foreign companies and end the history of relying on importing LCD glass substrate in the country. Lu Qinjian, the Vice Minister of the Ministry of Information Industry, Xie Sizhong, Chairman of the Supervision Committee dispatched by the SASAC under the State Council to reside in IRICO, Li Tangtang, Vice Governor of Shaanxi Province, Zhang Liyong, the Party Secretary of Xianyang Municipal CPC Committee and Qian Junchang, Xianyang Municipal Governor attended the foundation-laying ceremony.
2. According to the statistics and analysis made at the 2006 business operation regular meeting held in Jan. 16, the CPT products produced by IRICO Group Corp. in 2006 was increased by 16.36% compared with the previous period. The rate of the produce and sale was up to 97%. Both produce and sale set up the best records in history.
3. In Apr.9, the construction contract signing ceremony for the project of Xianyang West Suburb Thermoelectricity Factory was held. The contract for the west suburb thermoelectricity project construction was signed between Xianyang IRICO Thermoelectricity Co., Ltd., Shandong Electric Power Engineering Consultant Institute and Shandong Luneng Engineering Liability Company Limited. The construction scale was three 150 tons/hour circulating flowing boilers, two 25- mega watt steamer with two 30-mega watt generators. The annual electricity generated would be 420 million kilowatts.
4. In May 29, at the commending meeting for “China Aluminum Cup” of the First Youth Innovation Appraisal Activity among the central government controlled enterprises, IRICO Group Corporation’s 40cmPF CPT technology won the Silver Prize. The design and development technologies of the 127cm XGA PDP display panel and circuitry won the Excellent Prize.
5. In May 30, Zhao Leji, the Party Secretary of Shaanxi Provincial CPC Committee, came to IRICO for work inspection.
6. In Jun.1, a ceremony of capital-increased and equity-expanded for the glass substrate production line was held in IRICO Group Corporation. Sichuan Changhong Electrical Appliances Company Limited, Hebei Dongxu Machinery Equipment Company Limited held 25% and 5% of the total registered capital respectively. After the capital-increasing and equity-expanding, the total registered capital of IRICO glass substrate project was increased to 390 million RMB yuan from the original 120 million RMB yuan.
7. In Jun.15, a investigation delegation organized by the SASAC, led by Li Wei, Vice Director of SASAC and also Vice Party Secretary of SASAC CPC Committee, came to IRICO for work inspection.
8. In Jul.2, Shaanxi Provincial Bureau of Entry and Exit Inspection and Quarantine held a ceremony in IRICO. IRICO brand 37cm CPT obtained a certificate for export free-inspection. This is another product export free-inspection passed after the 64cm CPT product.
9. In Jul.l6, the signing ceremony of IRICO Group Corporation holding the majority shares of Shanghai Epilight Technology Co., Ltd. was held in Shanghai. After holding the majority shares of Shanghai Epilight Technology Co., Ltd., IRICO Group Corp. takes 51% of its equity and becomes the majority shareholder of this company. IRICO has formally entered into the LED industry.
10. In Aug.l0, the Group Company held a ceremony to award name plates to the two sub technology centers of CRT R&D Center and Fluorescent Material Company. This symbolized that the technology innovation system of the Group Company has made anther important step.
11. In Nov.2, IRICO Group Corp., Fuzhou University and Xiamen Torque Fuda Display Technology Co., Ltd. signed a cooperative agreement on the FED project at the headquarter of IRICO Group Corp. in Beijing.
12. In Nov.6, IRICO Group Corp. held a mobilization meeting for the project of LCD glass substrate.
13. In Nov.25, the signing ceremony of 2008 strategic cooperation agreement between IRICO Group Corp. and Skyworth Group was made in IRICO Group Corporation. Xing Daoqin, General Manager of IRICO Group Corp. and Zhang Xuebin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Skyworth Group signed the agreement on behalf of each company.
14. In early December, IRICO Group Corp. made a reorganization of its key assets and restructuring of the organization in order to make a further perfection of the legal person controlling structure, optimize the capital platform and speed up the enterprise transition. Xing Daoqin works as the Chairman, Guo Mengquan as the Vice Chairman and Wang Ximin as the Director General of IRICO Display Devices Company Limited after the assets reorganization was made. The organization of IRICO Power Factory was removed. The functions it undertook will be wholly merged into IRICO Color Picture Tube Plant for administration.
